Data collected is necessary to send the response to your “Get A Quote” request so that we can communicate back to you (via email) if additional questions needed or send right away approximate estimates based on your job description
Who can access the data?
Data is accessed by our sales team so that they can use your provided job description and talk with our engineers (for more complex projects) and communicate back to you via your provided email
How is data stored? Where and for how long is the data stored?
Data collected via “Get A Quote” request form (https://getmarble.co.uk/get-a-quote/) is NOT stored in our database but is forwarded to our sales teams email (hosted by google gmail service). Data is kept as long as it’s necessary to communicate with you.
Are the data shared with third-party entities?
Data collected is NOT shared with third-party entities only exception is our cloud emailing service Gmail which provides secure storage for our emails. Nowadays most of the small and medium businesses use cloud emailing services (instead of running their own on-premise email servers) and so are we. However you can always request us to delete your quote data by sending us email to firstname.lastname@example.org
What security measures are taken to protect the data?
Our website uses encryption in transit using TLS (Transport Layer Security). This means that connection between your web browser and our server is secure and you can securely send us your data (quote requests). You can easily verify this by checking in the browser where our website address should start with “https://…”. Our cloud email service Gmail encrypts emails both when they’re stored (data at rest) and when they’re being sent (data in transit). Gmail uses Transport Layer Security (TLS) to encrypt emails in transit.
Are google cloud services (like gmail) committed to GDPR?
Can data subjects request exporting or deleting their data?
You can always request us to export or remove your quote data by sending us email to email@example.com
